HOW TO GUIDE
Grant property level access in Google Analytics 4 to Cars.com
Follow these steps to receive actionable insights into how marketplace traffic performs on your dealership’s website.
On July 1, 2023, Google’s Universal Analytics (UA) reporting platform will stop collecting data, and the transition to GA4 will be complete.
We still want you to have access to custom analytics views that highlight the impact of Cars.com beyond our marketplace to better understand the ROI impact of all your digital marketing efforts. So, please grant our team GA4 analyst access permissions via the steps below.
1 Go to analytics.google.com and log in with your credentials
2 Click on the All Accounts drop down arrow
3 Find your account in the drop down menu
4 Click on the Admin icon at the bottom of the left side menu
5 Under Property, select Property Access Management
6 In the slide-out screen, click the blue + in the top right corner
7 Click on Add users
8 Type “gafield1@cars.com” in the Email addresses section
9 Select Analyst from the Standard roles section below
10 Click the Add button in the top right corner
